Get Well Soon

Some CAS (Clean and Simple) cards for illness.  I need to stock up on them as much as I need to go ahead and make holiday cards...lol

I need to do more "makin'" than "lookin'" because I think this is a case of a Lawn Fawn card.  I enjoy using this little set Get Well.  It's cute, yet I can make a little masculine when needed.  I've gotten my money's worth out of this set.

A2, acrylic bubbles, flower punch, stitching, pop-ups for dimension, glossy Accents
I doubled the sentiment for extra thickness

I was suppose to put "white" sentiment" and goofed...oh well
Yup, I made 4 but all with different backgrounds.

A nice dose of wine...

...will cure just about anything.

I'm so happy with the card.  The picture doesn't do it justice. Gals, I made 6 of them.  I can change the sentiment for the occasion.

This is another case from Carte 1001, Time For Some Bubbly (from MFT).  It was instant love for that card set.

I took images into Design Studio, added a little border around each, cut, color with copics, added dimension to everything.  Not happy with pics, but oh well.

A2, wink of Stella, ribbon punch, sequins also

just plain background

"Bacon" in the sun

Something went weird with linking to QKR's challenge last week...I hope it doesn't happen this week...haha  Yup, I'm joining QKR Stampede Challenge #205.  The theme: shaped card (not square, rectangle, or plain circle)

I think digi16913 Stacked Pigs is a hoot, yet I had not used it until today. I merged a sun, the sentiment from Bugaboo Stamps, and the pig image in Design Studio, made a slight outside border, welded and cut into a shaped card.  I added gold Wink of Stella to the sun.

A2, coloring in PS and copics, glitter on sun, welded all and cut

ok...only did 3 instead of 4

Castle for Mary Hannah

She's all girl....my Mary Hannah!  I found this free, sweet and easy svg template from Love Paper Crafts. Thank you for this great file.  Mary Hannah is so in awe with Elsa and Anna.  I made it more personal by merging pics of them all into one scene.  By the way, she loves pink, pink, pink!

Sandblasting and Son Update...

First, I'm very proud and happy for our youngest son who just graduated from college.  He landed a job.  It was the first job position he applied for and came home thrilled with the prospect of working for this chemical company.  We didn't want to burst his bubble, but we had to lay some "reality" on him...being the first job and interview, you usually don't get the job but it's great practice.  Well DANG, he got the job.  He had other interviews and offers, but he turned them down knowing none of them were the "right fit"?  Anyhow, he held out and ding dong....he got the job with the company he first interviewed with.  You don't see that often.  He's now considered a Research and Developmental Chemist (mostly organic chemistry.)  I can't explain his job and he's not allowed to discuss what he does....not that I or DH would understand....but we are thrilled and feel RICHER!!!  He's got an income and we paid his last college apartment rent!  yippee

When I was given a Yeti cup for my birthday from my oldest son (something I would not buy for myself due to cost...haha), I got it engraved for a slight cost.  I started buying the Walmart style since everyone said they were just as good.  I wanted to engrave and not just do vinyl.  I saw what Celeste (Facebook) had done. She inspired me to try.  My husband built me a sandblasting box for about $20.  I bought the air eraser from Harbor Freight for about $22.  Creating stencils with my Cameo, away I went.!!

HAVE YOU HERD

I must be into cows, not knowing I just posted a QKR Challenge card two days ago using a cow...haha

I cased Peppermint Patties at My Favorite Things using the cow from The Whole Herd.  I realized I made the card too big when you can't really see the cow background.  Of course, I did four and continue with CAS.  One I stitched, one I used watercolors, some colored in PS and others using copics.  I topped them off with pop-ups for dimension and an extra punched cloud.

Coffee

Good Grief...it took an hour to get back into my dashboard to post...something went crazy.  Whew!

I'm joining the Catch the Bug "Stella Says Sketch Challenge #412".  It's been waaaaay too long.  I fell in love with Bugaboo Stamps years ago and was lucky enough to join the design team.  It was my very first design team adventure.  Wonderful group of ladies...we even have a few gentlemen at one time.

I'm using JJ - Coffee To Go. I chose orange and purple (Clemson University) colors.  Football is right around the corner.  I have a good friend who is a "die-hard" fan.  This will be a perfect card for her.

A2, copics, mini cup dies from Memory Box, hanger punch, stitching, vellum, and stitching

Monochromatic "thinking of you"

QKR is having their Challenge #204.  I'm using their adorable Whistling Cow.  The theme is monochromatic (I'm using shades of brown in the copic E family).  I love a challenge!  I'm also keeping with my plan of CAS for the next two weeks.  Of course, making 4 cards for my stash.

I made the sentiment and cloud design in Design Studio and cut it all out using my Cameo.  With the help of copics, stitching, and pop-ups for dimension, I'm calling them done.  Thanks for dropping by.

A2, Fiskar cloud dies, E000, E0, E1

...Absolutely "thinking of you"

I guess I tried using my feminie side doing these cards...haha  Same image of Mitzi Duck but quick and easy layouts.  I'm liking these a little better but it took 1 extra minute to cut out circles and frame...haha (Leaves were in my stash)

I would almost use in challenge as a "back to school theme" at Die Cuttin Divas. (But I won't)!!! Evelyn, at Cut It Up, and Sue's Stamping Stuff are school teachers.  Both are now back to school and TRUST ME....I'm "thinking of them".  I taught at the high school level for 33 years.

A2, Sue Wilson leaves

A2, use Lil Inker stitched circle dies, made "absolutely in Design Studio and cut with Cameo, Memory Box leaf, black beads and stitching

One last card with "You can Fake Fabulous" on inside of card

A2, stitching, cut flowers, inside "You can't fake fabulous"

Thinking of you

Ever since I saw Mitzi Duck on Daffodil Cards, I have wanted some images of this cute girly duck.  It turns out the store closed a long time ago and all I could find was cross-stitched patterns.  I went on a mission to find some images.  I have found 3, so you will see them in the next several days.

Again, nothing special.  Just some quick, CAS cards for my stash.   I added a little texture with the stitching, Wink of Stella, pearls and ribbon.

A2, added "thinking of you" in the pink area and can change for any occasion.  The image was a tad too big, so I just angled it for a little interest and not to throw away...haha

You can't fake fabulous

Just a simple, fun card using an image of Mitzi Duck that has been sitting on my craft table.  Nothing fancy, just fun...haha

I made sun background in studio, doubled one image and then reversed it so the girls look like BFFs.

A2, starfish, metal brad, onion bag scrap, Wink of Stella on hat

Inner Tube Birdbrain Slider Card

OK...I'm back for quite a while now.  The beach was wonderful! YES...the beach is my "Happy Place".

I love Faith's From the Heart Stamp Inner Tube Birdbrain, so I bought it and ran all the way into my craft room to make a card.  Well, you know me, I made 4.  This card is SO ME!!! I was inspired by Donna's Indiana Inking card.

I'm joining From the Heart Stamp Challenge #160.  You can use the sketch and/or use blue and water.  To get the effect I wanted, I chose the blue and water. Cut It Up is also having an awesome challenge: Summertime Memories...well, you know that's ALL ME!

A2, sun punch, LAwn Fawn Hillside Border dies, cut image using Cameo, pop-ups for dimension, wink of Stella on drink and eyelids, copics for color
